Eve Pickman Freelance Contributor>

Michigan-based Eve Pickman grew up loving cars. One of her first automotive memories was hiding in the rear window well of her father’s 1966 Beetle imitating police cars sirens. She’s always been a fan of the off-beat and quirky, her first car was a 1972 Honda 600 purchased for the princely sum of $100.00. She’s only missed two Woodward Dream Cruises since its inception, once due to a Buick project in Chicago and once due to a failed water pump in her family’s 1965 Mustang convertible.

After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in History, Pickman found herself working as a call-center training supervisor for Ross-Roy, the then agency of record for Chrysler. She was there for the 1995 Neon launch during the Super Bowl and was lucky enough to get to watch first generation Viper coupes on the test track at the Chrysler Tech Center. She then moved on to consumer facing marketing, working as a product specialist for General Motors, representing Oldsmobile around the country during the auto show season and GMC, Pontiac, Buick and Cadillac the remainder of the year.

Pickman later moved on to training for various automotive manufactures and served as the only female trainer in the Volkswagen Phaeton Touareg Luxury Ambassador program.
