Jeana Shandraw Social Media>

I’m crafty. I heart food and wine. I ride motorcycles. I bake cakes. I’m great at inventing more ways to create space where there was previously none. When I’m not busy being supermom to my 2 year old son, you might find me crocheting cute things to hide in Ben’s underwear drawer.

How excited or why are your participating with HerHighway Drive Breast Cancer Awareness?

Still doing the running man in the kitchen.

Uncontrollable outbursts of this ugliness have surfaced since I received the invitation to join the HerHighway event.

But only I would know it’s the running man because, as you may not know, I don’t actually know how to do it.

Perhaps I should call it the Uglyman instead.

As a woman what features are your favorites in a car?

I love cars that have “sex appeal”. Great styling and a nice strong engine under the hood. On the inside, the first thing I always check for is whether or not my kid’s feet can reach to kick the back of my seat. Then, the techie geek in me takes over and I look for a USB outlet, rear view camera and Bluetooth phone connectivity.

What is your proudest social media achievement?

I tweeted my reaction to a DreamWorks film (People Like Us) and my tweet was featured in a nationwide television ad campaign. It always makes me smile when celebrities or large brands retweet or respond to something I’ve said because it’s confirmation that I’m doing something right.

What is your current challenge at work?

Allowing myself to take a time out. I am the worst boss I’ve ever had!

What is your top advice to other women for social media?

Like anything in life, your blog and online presence are what you make of it. Stick to your values and align yourself with those you admire. Anything great doesn’t come easily. While it’s easy to be tempted to conform to what you think others want of you, your real success will come from just being you.

Dream job?

A room service critic. I’d stay in the best resorts around the world and critique the food/service from bed! Or a professional surfer. (If only I knew how!!)

What you do to relax?

Make up knock knock jokes with my 2 year old.

Who have you mentored, or/and did someone mentor you in social media to help you get started?

I am a huge believer in blogger karma and always try to pay it forward by helping anyone who has asked me for assistance. If there is any aspect that I feel I can lend my knowledge to, I will offer it up gladly. The one person who is an absolute inspiration in this regard is Zippy Sandler. She is my hero and probably one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I want to be just like her when I grow up.
