2011 Dodge Durango Luxury Plus Utility>

Like being wrapped in the arms of a big, ruggedly handsome man, women will feel safe and secure buckled up behind the wheel of the 2011 Dodge Durango. The big SUV features front, side and overhead airbags, stability control, anti-lock brakes and an anti-whiplash system.

For 2011, the Durango has received a head to toe makeover — with a new look, more space, and improved performance dynamics that will appeal equally to women and men. With its soft-touch materials on the dash, great seating options and available leather, the reinvented Durango is more of a luxury vehicle than a run of the mill family wagon. The Durango puts plenty of technology at your fingertips to keep you and your friends and family entertained. All trim levels come standard with an MP3 interface and a terrific sound system.

Move up beyond the base “Express” model and standard features include a Bluetooth system for hands-free calling, DVD audio, nine-speakers, and park assist. You’ll pay more to add navigation or a back seat DVD player to keep your little (or full-sized) rascals content on longer trips. Specific trim models offer additional upgrades such as adaptive cruise control, hard drive based stereo, Capri leather seating with embroidered logo, eight-way power driver and passenger seats, and signal mirrors.

It feels good to be able to stretch our limbs. A wider stance gives this 7-seater plenty of room for you and your extended family. And if you need to go pick up a 6-foot sofa and bookshelves at Pier 1 Imports, or a big gas grill or landscaping supplies from Home Depot, the Durango won’t let you down. Stowing the second and third row seats instantly creates a cavernous 84.5 cubic feet of cargo hauling capacity.

The new Durango offers a sophisticated 3.6-liter V6 with 290 horsepower and best in class towing capacity — up to 6,200 pounds. Even with all that power and torque, the Durango won’t hurt you all that much at the gas pump. The V6 gets up to 23 mpg on the highway. If you’ve got a large boat or travel trailer to tow, there’s optional 5.7 liter V8 Hemi with 7,400 lbs. of towing capability.

Overall, the 2011 Dodge Durango is a very impressive SUV with tons of comfortable space, great cargo and towing capabilities, and decent fuel economy for its size. Click here for more details on options, pricing, warranty and dealer availability.
