Unlike some of the men you might have dated in the past, the 2012 Chevy Tahoe 4WD is highly unlikely to disappoint you in any category. Performance, luxury, utility…the Tahoe is the full package! What more could a girl want, right?
We drove the LTZ 4-wheel drive version of the Tahoe, and this baby comes loaded! Regardless of the temperature outside, you’ll always drive and ride in comfort in the Tahoe LTZ’s heated and cooled leather front seats! In fact, even the second row bucket seats in this 7-passenger marvel include the heating feature. There’s also a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel that helps warm up your hands when you enter the Tahoe’s spacious and luxury-laden cabin on a cold day.
Inside the big and handsome LTZ, you just settle in, buckle up, dial up the right temperature, and let the Bose stereo system rock you with your favorite musical grooves as you head to Macy’s, Nordstrom, or an afternoon of antique shopping. You can shop with confidence in the hunky Tahoe SUV. Even with the back seats in the upright position, you can pile up a hefty heap of shopping bags and boxes. Fold down both rows of rear seats, however, and your cargo carrying expands to over 108 cubic feet. That’s a lot of designer shoes!
Powering the Tahoe LTZ down the highway or (very capably) off road is Chevy’s tried and true workhorse — the 5.3 liter V8 paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain delivers a remarkable balance of power and economy. It produces 320 horsepower and is rated for up to 21 MPG for highway driving, giving you a cruising range of about 440 miles per tank (when using regular gas). Plus you can fill up on either regular gas or E85 flex-fuel.
In addition to the enhanced road visibility afforded by the Tahoe’s tall stature, safety features stack up nicely on this American made SUV. The AutoTrac Selectable 4-wheel drive system lets you engage maximum traction with the push of a button as road conditions dictate. The LTZ also includes 4-wheel antilock brakes, all-speed traction control, and six standard airbags to surround you and your precious passengers. If you should ever need emergency or roadside assistance, the Tahoe includes the legendary On-Star communication system (free for the first 6 months) that’s capable of finding you wherever you roam.
So if you’re out to kick the tires on some full sized SUVs, be sure to put the Chevy Tahoe on your list. It’s a big and comfortable…and capable of meeting the needs of serious shoppers, growing families, as well as those who need plenty of space for shuttling recreational gear.
