2013 Nissan Altima Delicious like Peach Cobbler>

Headed to Nashville via Delta through Atlanta, why you say? Nissan is rolling out 5 all-new models and the first is the new 2013 Altima, which I was invited to test-drive for my birthday. Needless to say we went hog wild over the new technology, new look and amazingly you don’t need hybrid to get an expected 38mpg on the highway.

The new and improved 2013 Altima’s powertrain, 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder makes the car lighter and more efficient with 182 horsepower and 180 pound-feet … STOP …the car comes to a screeching sliding halt, realizing boy or boy I was talking as though I were some type of old school grey haired car guy. So lets start that again, sliding back into the driver seat wearing my BRONX LVira saddle shoe boots and matching handbag lets go cover this car like a lady should (for more powertrain information directly from Nissan).

As the adventure begins by selecting my drive partner, we drove to Lynchburg for a tour of the Jack Daniels Distillery and some homemade Peach Cobbler, which was a to die for delicious birthday dessert.

So many of you already know my co-pilot and understand why a premium-sounding interior space is so important, to truly appreciate you will need to drive with him,  you’ll learn so much.  In the new Altima, wind noise is absent, so hearing him or the radio is no problem just sit back and enjoy all his stories.

The most impressive of the new technologies are the “self washing camera” and the “easy fill tire alert” systems. As for the camera it washes itself by squirting when dirty to keep your sight clear plus not only does it show you what’s behind you also the blind spot warning, lane departure warning and moving object detection. The tire pressure warning systems utilizes the hazard lights which begin to flash as you start to inflate then when it has reached the optimal pressure, the Altima’s horn will beeps softly to let you know that you are finished inflating, if you put in a bit too much air the hornbeeps louder. In the past you would have to get back in and check the dash or use a tire pressure gauge,  the new system makes it easy and safer.

NASA research of zero-gravity posture is incorporated into the Altima seat design I slid right into the drivers seat with ahh-mazing comfort they are female; form-fitting because they distribute your weight nicely and plenty cushy for the touche. All your BFF’s will surely appreciated the leg, head and shoulder room in front and rear seats while you enjoy listening to some amazing tunes by River Rutherford and Shawn Camp on the Nissan Bose® Premium Audio System.

Ladies the Altima is a great value and the trunk space is large enough to fit Barbara Mandrell’s guitars, shoes and gold records. Naw JK (naw means no in southern slang) you would need an entire fleet of Big Rigs to fit all her gear. A big country yeehaw goes out to her beautiful daughter Jaime Nicole for the tour of the Fontanel Mansion her childhood home and her mama’s story of becoming the First Woman Inducted Into Steel Guitar Hall of Fame.
